Als autodidact heeft Sjoerd Blokker (1982) een geheel eigenzinnige stijl ontwikkeld, zijn werk is dan ook moeilijk in woorden te vatten. De werken komen intuïtief tot stand en brengen zo zijn belevingswereld naar de oppervlakte. Hij speelt met de associatie van kleuren, structuren en lijnen. Contrasten tussen realisme en abstractie brengen een droombeleving teweeg waarin de geest bepaalt waar de grens ligt van wat is.

Juist omdat niets is, kan alles zijn.
