Through three layered silhouettes, my work explores the strength, complexity, and resilience of female identity. It reflects on body, space, and voice, questioning societal norms and celebrating women’s visibility by capturing their voice.

Echoing the world of The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, the figures speak to resilience under constraint, the tension between individuality and conformity, and the enduring power of women’s presence and solidarity.

I believe the most beautiful part of painting is to belong to it. Giving my soul to what expresses the best to me, including the feelings I have and moments I want to live and relieve, painting remains my artifact of lifetime as so it may continue to always be.”- Diella Valla
